Background - 

Second born of the Graves Brothers, he was happy to be the spoiled brat right up until the passing of his dear mother.  As his father took on the burden of raising two small boys and changed, so did the youngest of the boys.  While he knew his father worked hard to make a living for them, he felt resentment towards the absentee man who all but vanished in his last years on this planet. He felt the pressure from those around him, as the "legend" of his father created som e stigma that Dustin needed to live up to.  With his coming of age, the fact that he was a pureblood and did not go through the change only made things worse. 

 

Dustin was beginning to feel he could not live up to the Graves Legacy, and so he rebelled.  He would not follow the path his family set out for him.  No, Dustin knew where he wanted to go, but to get there he would blaze his own trail.
